Born and raised in San Gabriel, nestled in the heart of the San Gabriel Valley, Jacky's journey to becoming a healthcare professional has been marked by a commitment to excellence and a passion for helping patients achieve healthier skin. Jacky's educational journey led his to the prestigious University of California, Irvine (UCI), where he pursued his undergraduate studies. After completing his academic journey, he embarked on a career as an in-patient registered nurse (RN), gaining invaluable experience in the hospital for one year. However, it was his deep-rooted passion for dermatology and his desire to make a profound impact on patients' skin health that eventually led his to make a full-time transition to the field.One of Jacky's standout qualities is his ability to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds. Growing up in a multicultural community, he is fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese in addition to English. This unique linguistic skill allows him to communicate effectively with patients who prefer these languages, enhancing their comfort and understanding throughout their dermatological journey. My name is Calvin Sung M.D., F.A.A.D. and I am a board certified dermatologist, Clinical Faculty at UCR School of Medicine, and published hair loss scientist passionate about treating hair loss. Here at True Dermatology, we are an independent physician owned (NOT Private Equity Owned" practice not here to sell another over-priced "anti-aging vitamin C serum" products or "packages" that you don't need. In fact, we don't sell any products at all! Simply put, we are NOT a "Med Spa". Our focus is to help you achieve younger and healthier hair and skin.
