Carol is a dedicated dermatology Advanced dermatology Nurse Practitioner candidate at True Dermatology, where she combines her clinical expertise and compassionate care to help patients feel confident in their skin. Before transitioning into nursing, Carol pursued a different career path, but her passion for helping others and making a tangible difference in people’s lives led her to nursing.
She began her nursing career at Cedar Sinai, a world-renowned surgical inpatient unit in Los Angeles, where she gained extensive experience caring for patients from all walks of life. That foundation strengthened her attention to detail, clinical judgment, and deep sense of empathy.
Having lived and traveled across the world, Carol brings a unique perspective to her practice—one rooted in cultural understanding and human connection. She values patient education and believes that empowering patients with knowledge is key to achieving healthy, radiant skin.
On her days off, Carol enjoys skiing, golfing, and cooking for her loved ones.

My name is Calvin Sung M.D., F.A.A.D. and I am a board certified dermatologist, Clinical Faculty at UCR School of Medicine, and published hair loss scientist passionate about treating hair loss. Here at True Dermatology, we are an independent physician owned (NOT Private Equity Owned" practice not here to sell another over-priced "anti-aging vitamin C serum" products or "packages" that you don't need. In fact, we don't sell any products at all! Simply put, we are NOT a "Med Spa". Our focus is to help you achieve younger and healthier hair and skin.
To me your acne is more than just a pimple, and hair loss is something I take to heart having been a patient myself. Your skin and hair tells the story of your life, where you have been, what you do, and your overall health.
